Prone to illness and require more veterinary care than most dogs. Patellar luxation, hip and elbow dysplasia, glaucoma, hypothyrdoidism, cervical vertebral instability, bleeding disorders, and lymphoma
Exercise: The Basset Hound requires moderate exercise, daily walk.
Grooming: The Basset Hound needs weekly brushing. Must check ears regularly
Shedding:Can shed profusely, but can be managed with regular brushing
