History and Facts: A descendant of Napoleon's dogs and Briards, this breed was used as a herding dog.
Temperament / Behavior
These fearless dogs are excellent watchdogs. This breed is quite friendly and playful. Armants are not overly energetic, but do have the ability to work all day.
Breed-Related Health Concerns
No known hereditary conditions but can be more susceptible to hip dysplasia and osteochondritis dissecans
Exercise: The Armant requires regular brisk exercise.
Grooming: Regular brushing and combing every few days for the Armant's long shaggy coat.
